Apprenticeship Scheme

Greens are committed to employing young people as part of our apprenticeship scheme. Every year we recruit three to four young people with an interest in our trade. We provide the support and training to allow our apprentices to develop into industry leading tradesmen.

Our apprentices usually attend Leeds College of Building spending a mixture of time both in college and on site working alongside our decorators. In the first year, our apprentices will gain their level one qualification and their level two qualifications at the end of the second year. Following completion of the level 2 NVQ, our apprentices are encouraged to stay on at college and achieve ‘craft level’ qualifications.

We try wherever possible to give our apprentices the opportunity to work in a variety of different environments and hone a range of diverse skills. All apprentices are allocated to one experienced decorator who will act as their mentor throughout the scheme.
