We’re delighted to announce that 2014 marks a very special milestone at Greens Decorating. Surpassing 30 years in business, the company has become one of the longest serving decorating and refurbishment contractors for commercial buildings in the North of England.
Managing Director, David Green established Greens Decorating Contractors in 1984. Since then the company has maintained its position as an independent, family run painting and decorating contractor. David comments, “We are very proud of reaching this milestone. In such a competitive industry, to be backed with 30 years history reinforces our commitment to providing a first class refurbishment service.
“As a business we believe in developing long term relationships, both with our clients and our staff, many of whom have been with us for more than 20 years.”
A Quick Look Back
Although we’re still located at our original base on South Street in Morley, some things have changed over the years. A branding update in 2005 allowed our image to reflect our modern approach to business.
We successfully completed our first £1m contract in 1995 during the development of the Whinfell Forest holiday resort in Cumbria. Although Greens possess the resources to undertake projects of size, one of our core competences is in the way we are able to manage many smaller projects simultaneously.
With a number of partnerships across national businesses, lead contractors and regional organisations, the Greens Decorating name is one that for these past 30 years has been synonymous with a reliable and professional decorating service.
Looking to the Future
With continual investments in commercial vehicles, equipment and staff training, we have improved our capabilities and widened our offering to provide a greater range of internal and external decorating services. Going beyond traditional painting services, Greens are now able to provide businesses with complete cladding refurbishment solutions, high-rise restorations and paints for specialist requirements, including coatings for anti climbing and mould prevention.
Boasting a large team of directly employed skilled decorators, including a growing number of Apprentices from the local region, we continue to plan for the future and the challenges it is likely to hold.

To recognise the 30th anniversary, latest additions to our fleet of vans will incorporate the commemorative emblem.
